Ofeliya Pogosyan is an Armenian soprano and currently a member of the ensemble at Staatstheater Darmstadt for the 2025–2027 seasons. In Darmstadt she will appear in roles such as Norina in Don Pasquale, Poppea in L’incoronazione di Poppea, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, and Clorinda in La Cenerentola.

Before joining the ensemble in Darmstadt, Ofeliya worked at Semperoper Dresden, first as a member of the Junges Ensemble and later as a guest soloist. During her time there, she appeared in numerous productions including La sonnambula, La Bohème, Elektra, Aida, Rusalka, Don Carlo, and Ariadne auf Naxos, gaining extensive stage experience and developing a versatile repertoire.

She also spent one season at Theater Hagen, where she performed roles such as Frasquita in Carmen, Clorinda in La Cenerentola, and Hermia in Offenbach’s Barbe-Bleue.

Throughout her artistic journey, Ofeliya has collaborated with conductors including Christian Thielemann, Joana Mallwitz, and Ivan Repušić, among others.

She began her musical education at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory under the guidance of Irina Bogacheva and Dmitry Karpov. During her studies she performed roles such as Violetta in La traviata, Adina in L’elisir d’amore, and Musetta in La Bohème. She also participated in the 7th International St. Petersburg Cultural Forum under the auspices of UNESCO, performing Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle with Ludovico Bramanti.
