Die kubanische Modern-Dance-Technik verbindet Elemente des amerikanischen Modern Dance des 20. Jahrhunderts mit kubanischer Folklore, insbesondere mit Bewegungsformen, die in afrikanischen Traditionen verwurzelt sind. Zusammen mit der Tänzerin Luisa Santiesteban erarbeiten die Workshopteilnehmer*innen Grundlagen der Körperhaltung, Koordination und Musikalität und erforschen dabei Rhythmus, Dynamik und Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten.
The Cuban modern dance technique combines elements of 20th century American modern dance with Cuban folklore, especially forms of movement that are rooted in African traditions. Together with the dancer Luisa Santiesteban the participants will work on fundamentals of body posture, co-ordination and musicality, while exploring rhythm, dynamics and expressive possibilities.
